Tea Rudolf is a contemporary oil painter who simply loves to dive into the fun side of being a woman.
She especially loves incorporating rich patterns and deep colours into her motifs, as well as exploring stories of sisterhood, fashion, and the perfectly imperfect nature of womanhood.
Why it belongs in wool
Tea’s rich patterns, deep colours and expressive figures translate naturally into hand-tufted wool. Contrasting pile heights bring dimension to her fabrics, accessories and playful scenes, while hand-carved edges keep intricate motifs clear. Each piece is tufted at three or more pile heights, reaching up to 25 mm, then carved by hand. Wool adds warmth and tactile depth to her stories of sisterhood and the perfectly imperfect nature of womanhood.
