Daniel Parra
Daniel Parra is an illustrator from Colombia with a love for animals, colors, and textures. His work focuses on bringing animals to life through playful shapes, expressive details, and a mix of colors that gives each piece its own personality.
He enjoys experimenting with different styles and techniques, always embracing imperfection as part of what makes each illustration unique. Through his work, he hopes to create pieces that feel full of character and bring a little joy into people’s homes.
Why it belongs in wool
Daniel’s playful silhouettes, expressive animals, and richly patterned details translate naturally into tufted wool. Bold shapes remain clear as color becomes tactile relief, while spots, stripes, feathers, and botanical motifs gain depth and character through contrasting textures. Each piece is tufted at three or more pile heights, reaching up to 25 mm, then carved by hand. Wool’s warmth and softness carry the joyful, imperfect spirit of his illustrations into an inviting piece for the home.
