Josie

28REALM · Watercolor, gouache & digital illustration

Josie creates dreamy, expressive artwork inspired by nature, fantasy and the beauty of everyday details. Working across watercolor, gouache and digital illustration, she brings rich colors, soft textures and imaginative themes together in art that feels both calming and magical.

In collaboration with Hewn Earth, her designs take shape in wool. Hand-tufted surfaces and sculpted layers add depth and a handcrafted touch to her botanical forms, expressive creatures and imagined worlds.

Why it belongs in wool

Josie’s flowing leaves, patterned creatures and generous fields of color translate naturally into wool. Different pile heights give petals, feathers and foliage a sculptural presence, while carved edges keep her expressive shapes clear. Wool adds a soft, tactile dimension to the calm and wonder of her original artwork.
