Amy Lizzi

Arizona, USA · Illustration & folk art

Amy Lizzi is an Arizona artist, illustrator, and designer whose Sonoran desert roots deeply influence and inspire her southwest, folk art style.

From painting to pottery to digital design, she believes in celebrating life and finding joy in the simple things around us. From patterns in nature, vibrant color palettes, and energetic, hopeful themes, she creates art that shines a light on the beautiful parts of being alive.

Why it belongs in wool

Amy’s bold silhouettes, rhythmic botanicals and vibrant colour fields translate naturally into tufted wool. Petals, feathers and desert forms gain a sculptural presence as flat colour becomes tactile relief. Each piece is tufted at three or more pile heights, reaching up to 25 mm, then carved by hand to keep her lines clear. Wool brings warmth and softness to her graphic compositions, carrying the joy and handmade spirit of her folk art into a piece for the home.
