Wool composition selected above. Hand-tufted and hand-carved to order, with signature high-low relief up to 18mm. Hand-finished at the edges by experienced master artisans; one of one. Designed in the USA · Hand-tufted to order by our artisan partners · Made in China.
Care Advice+
Vacuum without a beater bar. Blot spills promptly; for anything more, use a professional wool cleaner. Rotate occasionally for even wear, and expect gentle shedding to settle over the first weeks.
Installation+
Every wall hanging includes 3 m (9.8 ft) of self-adhesive hook-and-loop Velcro, designed to support Hewn Earth wall hangings weighing under 8 kg (17.6 lb). Apply one strip to a clean, dry and smooth wall, and the matching strip to the backing of the piece. Press both adhesive sides firmly in place, align the strips, then press the piece securely onto the wall. Not suitable for dusty, textured, damp or freshly painted surfaces.

How long does production take?+
Each piece is hand-tufted to order in our studio. Production takes 15 days, plus 4–7 days shipping.
Can I order a custom size?+
Yes — select "Custom size" from the size drop-down and we will get in touch to confirm details and pricing.
Where is the wool sourced from?+
100% New Zealand wool from small farms known for long-staple, carpet-grade fibre. It is the highest-quality wool for tufting.
How do I care for it?+
Spot-clean with a damp cloth. Vacuum on LOW with no brush to refresh the pile. Keep out of direct sunlight to preserve colour.
Do you offer returns?+
Yes — 14-day returns from the delivery date. Custom-size orders are final sale.
Do you ship worldwide?+
Yes — DDP shipping (duty and tax included) to most countries, free on all orders.
